Heavyweight champion Jon Jones rose up in the pound-for-pound rankings after his dominant win over Gane at UFC 285. He is now tied with the featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski who is just coming off a win against Yair Rodriguez at an eventful UFC 290 pay-per-view.

Volkanovski lost his #1 spot after Jones won the heavyweight title. He fell in the rankings due to his loss against Islam Makachev at UFC 284, which was considered controversial as many fans thought Volk won the fight and the judges robbed him of his victory. But after his victory against Rodriguez, he is tied with Jones for the No. 1 spot.

Jones is set to fight the No.3 ranked heavyweight and former champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 for his first title defense as the heavyweight champion. Jones can become the undisputed fighter on the P4P rankings if he can defeat Stipe in New York.
