MMA Insider slams Joe Rogan’s recent Canada-Russia differentiation before UFC 315: “Just misrepresent my country…”
MMA insider gives scathing take on Joe Rogan’s recent statements about Canada, as compared to Russia before the UFC 315 PPV card.

MMA journalist James Lynch has publicly called out Joe Rogan’s recent comments about Canada, saying they are ‘ignorant’ and ‘misinformed.’ Color commentator Joe Rogan mostly prefers US PPV duties. He recently revealed that although not a big trip from Austin, he does not prefer going to Canada anymore. To that end, Canada is the bottom of the barrel for him, with even Russia superseding.
James Lynch, based out of Canada, took umbrage with Joe Rogan. On his UFC London Fight Companion podcast, Rogan said he would “rather go to Russia” even. He even touted vivid thoughts about the state of the country being in the gutter due to sociopolitical conundrums. Soon after, Lynch deferred to the notion that his nation has severely limited freedom.
We do not live in a communist society. It’s not heading that way, …I don’t think it’s this bad country like Rogan’s making it out to be. I can’t let a guy like Joe Rogan — who I admire a lot, come out here and just misrepresent my country, …And I think guys like Rogan saying, ‘I’d rather go to Russia,’ I think that’s just a terrible take here. Now look, I’m not a Joe Rogan hater by any means. This is probably one of the first videos I’ve ever done on him, but I will speak up.

Canada ranks #11 in the world overall on the Human Freedom Index, while the US is tied with the United Kingdom for 17th place. Canada also outpaces Russia on several key indicators of quality of life. Canada’s Human Freedom Index score is 8.74 compared to Russia’s measely score of 5.35.
Despite the harsh verdict Sean Strickland gives on Canadian leftists and their audacious way of life, the MMA journo said their life isn’t all that different form Americans. James Lynch also tackled Rogan’s analogy between Canada and Russia, pointing out the hypocrisy of the preference. Joe Rogan has often bashed stricter laws of a regime, especially when legacy media gets dumbed for reporting it.
Lynch cited the case of WNBA fame Brittney Griner, who was facing a nine-year prison sentence in Russia for drug possession. However, consequences are to be expected when someone breaks the rule of a foreign country. Rogan also chose not to commentate at UFC 297 January PPV card in Toronto the previous year. But much to Russia-comrade Rogan’s liking, Canada’s perfectly legal marijuana laws should suit him better.
Joe Rogan not a fan of the current Canadian administration
His unwillingness to commentate for the May 10 PPV card at Bell Centre in Montreal isn’t the first strain. UFC’s Joe Rogan said he loves the Great White North a lot, but the current administration just irks him. While Rogan was highly critical of former Canadian helm Justin Trudeau, he’s arguably not buddy-buddy with his successor, Mark Carney, either.

Trudeau and his administration came under a lot of fire for media censorship climate while he himself was ripping into ‘X’ for the same. For a red-hot minute during the Trucker Protests, it caught on that he froze media accounts and monetary assets. Then came the X-war and legacy reporting issues in South America, parts of North America, and Canada. The Virtual Private Network (VPN) pipeline to circumvent legacy media ban, or Twitter-ban as a whole has been a viral topic since last to last year.
The consensus for some 6 months or more was that ‘Meta’ and its offshoots would divulge topics that would violate some media laws while willfully neglecting important affairs. Then, Trudeau slammed them for blocking news on wildfires that caused thousands of Canadians to lose their home. Rogan would take issue with the hypocrisy.

He says he’s never stepping foot in Canada again until they “get rid of that guy” because “they’re in the middle of a full-blown communist takeover.”

Joe Rogan calls out Mark Carney for being an illegitimate unelected Prime Minister

"They have a new guy who is just as bad as Trudeau"
"150 people voted and now they have a new Government"

Additionally, in an episode of the JRE podcast with Michael Kosta (‘JRE’ #2290), the UFC commentator criticized Carney’s election process. The wedge got to be so big that Rogan promised he won’t step foot until a change. He also dissed the new head as a guy who only “150 voted” for, thus looking down on the model of administration.
