IShowSpeed is a controversial streamer. He recently had a sparring match with crossover boxer KSI. Incidentally, the live stream of the fight was at the same time when Jake Paul fought Andre August. Darren Jason Watkins Jr. is the real name of IShowSpeed.

IShowSpeed recently had an amateur MMA fight in Brazil. Interestingly, his opponent was a female fighter. The video of the fight spread like wildfire on social media. In the video, the female fighter took the streamer down, rained ground and pound shots, and ultimately secured an armbar submission.

The female fighter was a professional MMA fighter, and IShowSpeed was no match for his opponent. He did take her down, but she systematically reversed her position. The fight is a good example to show the difference between a common man and a professional fighter, irrespective of gender. An important thing to note is that IShowSpeed is just 18 years old.

IShowSpeed’s sparring match with KSI was for charity. The proceeds of the match went to the Anthony Walker Foundation. The charity works to combat racism in the United Kingdom as Anthony Walker was a victim of racist murder in 2005. Walker was Black British and of Jamaican descent. Nonetheless, KSI tapped out of the sparring match as he saw IShowSpeed show discomfort as the fight went on.

IshowSpeed is a two-time winner at the Streamy Awards. In 2022, he won the Breakout Streamer award, and in 2023, he won the Variety Streamer award. He got nominations for the Best Streamer award in both years.
