Angela Lee writes a heartfelt msg on Victoria Lee's death (Instagram)
On December 26, 2022, ONE Championship Atomweight Titleholder Angela Lee announced the death of her sister, ONE Championship Straw Weight Victoria Lee. The Lee family is understandably heartbroken by this incident, with their father who also manages them, not available for comment.
In an Instagram post, Angela Lee said, “Our family has been completely devastated since then.” The cause of her death has not been disclosed to the public yet. “…our family experienced something no family should ever have to go through…It is incredibly difficult to say this…Our Victoria passed away.“, Angela added.
Victoria Lee followed her sister’s footsteps into ONE championship for professional MMA after wrestling in their native Hawaii. Victoria made ONE record of 3-0, stopping all of her opponents. She stopped Victoria Souza via TKO in September 2021.
“She has gone too soon and our family has been completely devastated since then,” Angela Lee wrote in her Instagram post for her sister. “We miss her. More than anything in this world. Our family will never be the same. Life will never be the same.” The ONE championship fighter also wrote that the sudden death of her sister has left their family “broken”. The cause of the death was not mentioned and is yet to be known by the family.
She added, “Victoria was the most beautiful soul who ever lived. She was the best little sister in the world. The best daughter, the best granddaughter, and the best godma / aunty to Ava and Alia.” She ended with a very painful message writing, “We will never be the same.”

Fans and fighters in the MMA community react to her death, completely shocked and devastated. Fight fans have taken to social media to give their condolences to the Lee family and pay their respects. Despite not being in the biggest promotion, UFC, Victoria raised quite a few eyebrows in her career as a young fighter.

People knew that Victoria Lee was a huge prospect in the strawweight division, it is a shame that we couldn’t see her with a belt like her sister and brother.
