Johnny Eblen had a huge cut on his head after his title fight against Fabian Edwards at Bellator 299.

The sport of MMA is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous sports due to the high risk of injuries and weight cutting. Despite facing major cuts and bruises, fighters mostly continue fighting without paying any heed to them. This was the case with Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen. UFC lightweight veteran Dustin Poirier recently posted a photo of his teammate’s injury.
Poirier took to Twitter, posting a graphic photo of Eblen’s cut-open eyebrow. He captioned the post, “Champ said its just a scratch.”However, Eblen was supported by Poirier throughout the fight camp. Poirier also traveled all the way to Dublin, Ireland to support his teammate in his title fight. The two fighters train at the popular American Top Team gym.
Eblen faced Fabian Edwards in the main event of Bellator 299. Eblen won the fight via TKO at 21 seconds of the third round, successfully defending his title. However, Eblen was involved in an altercation with his opponent’s brother and UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Despite the altercation, Eblen met up with the brothers and sorted out the misunderstanding.
The injury faced by Eblen is one of the most grotesque injuries in Bellator history. However, Eblen will look forward to quickly healing up and returning to the cage to defend his title. Fans will look forward to seeing Eblen back in the cage soon,
