Bellator’s DeAnna Bennett is scheduled to fight women’s flyweight champion Liz Carmouche at Bellator 294. The number 4 ranked flyweight fighter also known as ‘Vitamin D‘ looked could high on energy going into the fight. Bennett also could not control herself on the mic as she made many explicit jokes during her media day appearance for Bellator 294.

DeAnna Bennett and Liz Carmouche previously fought each in September 2020. Carmouche went on to win the bout with Bennett via submission. The first bout between both fighters was their Bellator debuts. Carmouche since then went on to win 4 straight fights before getting a shot at the Bellator women’s flyweight championship against Juliana Velasquez. Carmouche won the title and rematched Velasquez at Bellator 289.

Liz TKO’d Velasquez to win the championship and ended her once again. Bennett on the other hand hasn’t faced defeat after her debut against Carmouche. She went on to win three straight fights and will fight Carmouche once again at Bellator 294.

Bennett looked very lively for her media day appearance. However, not a moment after she touches the mic, explicit jokes start raining out of her mouth. Bennett started by saying that she won’t bring the mic to her face and made some very NSFW remarks. “My fight name is Vitamin D for a reason, and it is not because of my cheery personality. As much as I’d like to tell people that’s the case, it’s really not. It’s because I’m literally just two seconds up here and I’m like, I deep-throat the microphone now right?”, said Bennett

DeAnna Bennett certainly made the Bellator media day more amusing to watch and hopefully will enter the octagon against Carmouche with the same energy. Bellator 294 takes place on the 21st April with Carmouche as the betting favourite and Bennett as the underdog.

Bellator flyweight champion Liz Carmouche is constantly on the lookout to have a winning edge over her opponents in MMA. Carmouche is having a good run in the Bellator. Since her Debut, she has won 4 fights before getting a shot at the title. Carmouche then went on to defeat the flyweight champion Juliana Velasquez and later defended her title against Velasquez again. With her Bellator undefeated streak still intact she is more than ready to face DeAnna Bennett. However, this time around Carmouche will leave no doubt.

Liz Carmouche’s title win was a bit questionable. Many thought the fight was prematurely stopped and questioned Carmouche’s win. The two then rematched again and Liz Carmouche won via a unanimous decision. Caramouche might have won with people doubting her but she managed to resolve all the doubts.

Going into her second fight with Bennett, Carmouche does not want to leave space for doubts.” I want to be as sharp as possible and make sure that I’m going out there with as much aggression and make it as one-sided as possible. So I have to sharpen myself but am always trying to evolve and grow my game and learn as much as possible“, said Carmouche. With this mantra, Carmouche is set to defend her title against DeAnna Bennett at Bellator 294.
