Jake Shields has been very active on social media since a few days after the Texas shooting incident and has been criticizing the police force, politicians, and many other organizations for the mismanagement of the whole situation. An 18-year-old gunman entered a school building and open fire on children inside a classroom. The gunman killed19 children and 2 adults in this horrific incident before he was killed by police forces.


The gunman, Salvador Ramos, was 18 years old and bought 2 assault rifles on his 18th birthday. The shooter first shot and wounded his grandmother in their home before driving to the school and killing 21 people. This incident has been one of the worst gun-related incidents in the U.S. in over a decade.

Many Politicians have spoken about the incident and president Joe Biden has called for better gun laws for the country. In a recent Tweet, former U.S. president Barack Obama Tweeted about the incident and linked it with the 2-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder. The tweet has faced a backlash from former UFC fighter Jake Shields, who has expressed his disapproval of Obama’s comment on the incident.

Barack Obama, in his tweet, said: “As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.
