“They made it more interesting” – Joe Rogan gives controversial take on drug usage in baseball

Joe Rogan talks about steroid use in Baseball

As much as Joe Rogan condemns the usage of drugs in combat sports, the UFC commentator doesn’t seem to be against the era where almost every Baseball player was on performance enhancement drugs.

UFC commentator is not new to making the headlines. Joe Rogan is a connoisseur of mixed martial arts and has the most prominent voice in America. The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast is one of the world’s biggest, if not THE biggest podcasts. In a recent episode of the comedian/commentator’s podcast, he had a special guest, Paul Virzi. One of the conversations that the two had were about the Steroid Era in the sport of Baseball.

Baseball is the national sport of the United States of America and is loved by the majority of the country. Rogan and Paul discussed how there was serious action taken by Congress to completely remove steroid use from the sport of Baseball. Paul pointed out that former player, Mark McGwire took the high road of saying the game needs to be pure of steroids after he was accused of being guilty of steroid use. Rogan found it hilarious and suggested that baseball should’ve never made steroids an issue.

“Those guys, if you think about it, they made baseball more interesting though. Like, it is so stupid that they busted them for that. They should have been like, ‘Everybody just shut the f**k up,” said Rogan in a hilarious conversation with Paul Virzi on podcast episode number #1843.

“Why did they make a big deal out of it? Who gives a sh*t if they’re doing steroids?” asked Rogan in his conversation. When Paul countered with it would have been really tough to explain how 40 home runs a season exploded to 90 home runs a season. Rogan replied saying, “People are getting better. Cars are getting faster.”

Rogan also believes that the only reason there was a huge fuss about baseball players being on drugs is that it was the national sport of the USA. Joe is positive that if there was any other sport where several reports surfaced about the players being juiced on steroids, the matter would never be taken to the level of baseball.
