Joe Rogan in his well-known podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, once shared a bizarre story with Joey Diaz, a fellow comedian. Diaz is a frequent guest on the JRE podcast and is also known for his podcast called ‘The Church of What’s Happening Now’. On JRE, Rogan was sharing one of his stories when he was hunting in Montana with a friend.
Subsequently, Rogan stated: “I’ve kimura-ed a deer’s leg and snapped it in half after it was already dead.” While Joe Rogan was hunting, he was curious if a certain jiu-jitsu move would break the sturdy bones of the animal. After which Rogan claimed he could heel-hook a deer, and Diaz stated:
Have you lost your f**king mind? Heel-hook a deer. Yeah sure.Joey Diaz on JRE
Hence, Rogan very confidently claimed that he could easily heel-hook the deer and put it down. Subsequently, Diaz was in complete disbelief after what Rogan stated and expressed his shock by calling out Rogan. Furthermore, Rogan continued to claim that if he got behind the deer and got his back, he could put it down.
However, Diaz continued to dismiss Rogan’s claims and stated that Rogan would reach the hospital for underestimating the animal.
Joe Rogan teaches his iconic sidekick to George St-Pierre
After years of training, Rogan has honed his spinning kicks by perfectly mastering and executing the technique behind them. As such, years ago, Rogan tried to teach George St-Pierre his signature kick.
During training, the color commentator demonstrated the technique in front of St-Pierre and Eddie Bravo. Rogan landed a series of powerful kicks on a heavy bag that bounced off the bag after each hit. Subsequently, St-Pierre watched in amazement as Rogan threw his masterful and thunderous kicks.
Furthermore, Rogan explained in the video that St-Pierre is over-kicking in terms of his angle instead of kicking at a straight line. In February 2011, the legendary podcaster posted a video of him teaching St-Pierre the technique. Since then, the Canadian fought five more times in the UFC and won all five times.
