Carlos Condit is one of the most fan-friendly fighters to ever compete in the UFC. Condit is without a doubt a legend in MMA. The former interim welterweight champion had some of the best fights ever in MMA history. Condit’s fights with Nick Diaz and Rory McDonald are one for the ages. Condit initially took the sparring at a slow pace but eventually upped the ante and eventually knocked the military personnel out. Nonetheless, his performance was a pale indicator of his capability in an actual professional MMA bout.
After initial moments where the two traded shots, Condit tricked his opponent with a left high kick from an orthodox position. The military man could not see the straight right hand that came at him with full torque. Even though both had worn headgear, the military man took a knee and could not gather his wits. Condit walked off as he knew his opponent would not get up.
Before the UFC, Condit was a welterweight champion at WEC. He defended the title three times before the UFC acquired the promotion. Moreover, he competed twice for the UFC welterweight title. Both times, he came agonizingly close to becoming undisputed champion.
