WATCH: Man lands ‘Spartan kick’ after friend gets knocked out MMA-style in street brawl

The X handle, FightHaven has yet again uploaded a bizarre street fight video. In the video, in what seemed to be a scene out of an action movie, a man defended his friend in a fight. During the confrontation, an individual was knocked unconscious in the manner of a professional MMA fight.

An individual was knocked down by another man. Fortunately, a friend of the fallen individual took the matter into his own hands. He demonstrated both courage and quick thinking as he channeled his inner warrior and delivered a powerful ‘Spartan kick’ to the aggressor. The kick was akin to the famous scene from the film “300” starring Gerard Butler in his iconic role as Leonidas.

Incidentally, the Brogue Kick was also similar to the kick used by Sheamus as his finishing move. In the video, the two individuals initially had a verbal confrontation. It was followed by a right hand that knocked the other individual near a pickup truck where his friend was sitting. When the guy went to attack the fallen opponent, the friend did the kick jumping from the truck. Nevertheless, the assailant felt the power and fled the scene.

There have been incidences of moves similar to the ‘Spartan Kick’ used in the UFC. The most famous is the front kick by Michael Chandler that left Tony Ferguson unconscious at UFC 274. Frankie Edgar was also TKOed by Marlon Vera with a similar move. The move was made famous by Anderson Silva when he knocked out Vitor Belfort.
