Bodybuilder turned YouTuber Bradley Martyn has captured the attention of the combat sports world. He has claimed to be able to defeat lighter-weight fighters on his YouTube channel. Jake Paul has come out with an offer for Bradley Martyn to fight “Platinum” Mike Perry in a street fight. Paul promised a seven-figure payment for the challenge. Mike Perry went on Twitter to accept the challenge.
Perry wrote, “I accept @BradleyMartyn, I’m 180 but I hit like 260 brotha, accept the offer and I’ll see you in Saudi Arabia alhumdulla.” Martyn does not have an extensive background in combat sports. Some sources suggest that he wrestled in high school and will attempt to utilize his size to bring down the lighter-weight fighters. However, the entire combat sports world remain upset at the confidence of Martyn.
It all started when Martyn asserted his confidence in beating Devin Haney in a street fight. Haney, the undisputed lightweight boxing champion, replied that he could beat Martyn in a street fight. This gimmick continued when Nate Diaz came on his YouTube channel. Martyn also challenged Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson to a street fight. His main argument remains that he has the size advantage and weight class remains in combat sports for a reason.
Mike Perry is a different animal altogether. Perry has knockout power and a history of competing in street fights. Recently, he knocked out Luke Rockhold at BKFC 49. Perry would be the best test for Martyn to illustrate his claims. Only time will tell if Martyn accepts the offer and fight Perry.
