Mike Perry claims ‘a close relative’ of Luke Rockhold does not want Rockhold to win at BKFC 41

BKFC 41 will feature the main event fight between two former UFC fighters. At the event, Luke Rockhold and Mike Perry will collide in a bare-knuckle boxing bout. Perry is an undefeated fighter in bare-knuckle fights. Rockhold will make his debut at the event. The event promotion is underway, and both fighters threw fire at each other during an interview with Ariel Helwani. Perry made a surprising statement in the interview that shocked Helwani.
Mike Perry told Luke Rockhold, “You know who wants me to win? Luke’s mom wants me to win. That’s who wants me to win. So her baby boy will go home and stop this fighting sh**. I’m gonna send him back Mom.” The statement initially shocked Helwani, and then he laughed for a bit.
Rockhold retired from MMA last year after a decision loss against Paulo Costa at UFC 278. At BKFC 41, it will be the first time Rockhold enters a boxing ring. He has previously competed as a Submission Grappler. Fight fans look forward to seeing how Rockhold will do against Perry in the bout.
The event will also feature the debut of Eddie Alvarez in a boxing ring. Alvarez is a former UFC and Bellator Champion in the Lightweight division. He will take on former Featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes at the event. Mended is undefeated in the BKFC and possesses massive knockout powers.
Luke Rockhold fires back at Mike Perry
Ariel Helwani interviewed Luke Rockhold and Mike Perry to promote their upcoming bout at BKFC 41. Perry and Rockhold talked plenty of trash at each other. Perry even claimed that Luke’s mom wanted to see Perry win the bout. After Perry’s turn, Rockhold fired back.
He said, “Mike thinks a certain thing, he’s going to find out another. A lot of people think one thing about me, and they always find out another. He’ll come to find out. I’ve seen who you are, and everyone knows what you bring to the table. You’ve been doing your thing for a while. No one’s ever seen me box. You don’t know what to expect. I know what to expect.”
Rockhold appears confident in his ability to get the win over Perry. He is right about no one ever seeing him box. Rockhold was known for his grappling and kicking game in his MMA career. Fight fans look forward to the much-anticipated bout at BKFC 41.
