Mike Perry cemented his status as the face of BKFC with a TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez at BKFC 56. Alvarez, the former lightweight champion of the UFC and Bellator, could not answer the call for the third round. His corner stopped the fight after a discussion with Alvarez.

The bout was for the symbolic ‘King of Violence’ championship, and Perry remained the face of BKFC. Alvarez, who has a history of violent fights in UFC and Bellator, made his BKFC debut against Chad Mendes at BKFC 41. On the same card, Perry defeated Luke Rockhold in the main event. Perry is 4-0 in BKFC with two stoppage victories. Interestingly, the finishes are against former MMA champions Alvarez and Rockhold.

The fight was exciting as long as it lasted. Alvarez began the round strongly and even found a target for his left hook on Perry’s chin. However, Perry was the bigger man and kept the pressure on. The pace was very high for the first round. However, in the second round, Perry hurt Alvarez, and the pace dropped. After the end of the round, Alvarez revealed to his corner that he could not see anything. The corner immediately waived off the fight. Perry backflipped in excitement.
