Former UFC fighter Quinton Jackson visited Japan to attend the MMA event RIZIN 45. The event featured MMA legend Kyoji Horiguchi taking on Makoto Shinryu at the Saitama Super Arena. This fight also marked the inaugural RIZIN flyweight championship. As such, Horiguchi won the fight via submission in the second round. After the event, an earthquake hit Japan, and Jackson was stuck at his hotel. So, he posted a tweet explaining his situation.
On New Year’s Eve, Japan registered a 7.6 magnitude earthquake. Quinton Jackson, who visited Japan for an MMA, tweeted in fear about his experience. He said he stayed on the 28th floor and witnessed his building move and being shaky. As such, he admitted to being scared and posted a tweet. Also, he wished everyone a Happy New Year despite experiencing an unfortunate disaster. Here is what he said:

After explaining the situation in Japan, Quinton Jackson shared an image of the earthquake’s aftermath. The image showed a broken road in Japan. As such, he hoped no one got hurt and was concerned about the people of Japan. As of now, Japan is in danger of a Tsunami.
Quinton Jackson retired from professional fighting in 2019 after having a great career. He had competed in prestigious MMA promotions such as PRIDE FC, UFC, and Bellator. Currently, he co-hosts a podcast called ‘Jaxxon Podcast‘ alongside two of his friends.

Quinton Jackson appeared at the Saitama Super Arena to witness the fight showdown of RIZIN 45. Although he was excited to watch the fights, his seat placement shocked him. He got tickets at the last minute and didn’t notice it was in the nosebleeds. So, he was a little disappointed but kept his sense of humor to say, ‘I need to learn how to read Japanese.’ As such, he explained the instance on X.

Further, in a later tweet, he shared hilarious scenes of fight fans in front of him using binoculars to watch the fights. The seats were so distant, which made it hard to witness the fights. However, RIZIN 45 featured spectacular fights, with MMA veteran Kyoji Horiguchi winning his flyweight title in the main event.
Quinton Jackson had a great career in leading MMA promotions around the world. He had fought against MMA legends like Fedor Emelianenko, Jon Jones, Wanderlei Silva, and much more. As such, he retired from professional fighting with an MMA record of 37 wins and 14 losses.
