Japanese fighter Erson Yamamoto couldn’t control his emotions after losing the fight via stoppage, as the doctors didn’t allow him to fight after suffering an eye cut. Rizin 44 took place this weekend at the Saitama Super Arena on September 24th and it featured the return of Erson Yamamoto against Ryuya Fukuda. 

Going into the fight, Erson Yamamoto had winning momentum after he defeated Yuki Ito at Rizin 42 earlier this year. On the other hand, Fukuda had an eight-fight win record. The fight had created a lot of hype, given that both fighters have a reputation for going all out in their fights.

In an unexpected turn of events, the highly anticipated bout didn’t unfold as fans had anticipated. The fight, which had generated a tremendous amount of excitement and anticipation, took a dramatic turn in the third round. It was at this point that the match officials made the crucial decision to stop the fight, ultimately awarding the victory to Fukuda.

The reason for this unexpected conclusion was due to a nasty injury that Yamamoto sustained above his eyes. The injury was severe enough to prompt immediate concern from the medical team, who determined that it was too dangerous for the fight to continue any further.
