Nikola Jokic is one of the biggest NBA superstars in the world, playing for the Denver Nuggets,Jokic has always been a very consistent performer. While Nikola is a global basketball superstar, his elder brother Nemanja Jokic has recently started his combat sports journey.
The 38 year old made his Muay Thai debut at SCL: Army vs Marines 10 against opponent William Vandervier. Jokic won the fight pretty convincingly and the difference in skill set was quite visible. Jokic controlled the fight as long as it took place while Vandervier just tried to rush in with wild swings which cost the fighter.
Jokic dropped Vandervier the first time, but the fighter didn’t give up and got up quickly; however, after a few minutes another nasty leg landed by Jokic. This time, Vandervier fell to the ground again but still wasn’t done. Nemanja didn’t learn from his mistakes and continued to drop his guard and got knocked out for the third time in the first round which forced the referee to stop the fight. It was comparatively an easy debut for Jokic and given he was a basketball player before this makes this performance even more amazing.
History between Nemanja Jokic and younger brother Nikola Jokic
The Jokic brothers consist of three individuals who have been together since childhood. Growing up, the brothers lived with their big family in a very small apartment which was always crowded. But this also gave them the feeling of sticking together with family and that has remained like this till this date.
Nemanja, like Nemanja, was initially into basketball and used to play for the Detroit Mercy University team. However, he was never that serious about basketball and made many naive mistakes during his early career.
While talking about his life in an interview, Nemanja mentioned that he wasn’t focused on basketball and instead spent most of his time and energy in parties, drinking and dating. However, it seems like all those experiences helped Nemanja to grow as an individual and be more disciplined in life with regards to his professional career.
