WATCH: When former UFC champion Michael Bisping COMPLETELY DISMANTLED Youtuber KSI in grappling

Michael Bisping (On top) teaches KSI (Bottom) a lesson or two in grappling
Michael Bisping was one of the unlikeliest champions in UFC history – he only broke through to UFC gold at the ripe age of 36.
Taking a short-notice fight against then middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, most people expected a repeat of their last outing – in 2014, when the two met, Rockhold submitted the Englishman. However, the repeat went very differently. In the first round, Bisping hurt Rockhold a little, before tripping him, making him fall and then finished him via TKO on the ground.
Bisping’s prowess came on the feet – that being said, MMA fighters need to hone aspects of their skillset that they previously didn’t work on. Hence, despite using a stand-up base, Michael Bisping must have worked at his grappling extensively to get on an equal base with the ground specialists. And, against someone who doesn’t train in MMA, the vast skill gap really showed.
In 2018, after facing Joe Weller in the boxing ring, KSI met up with Michael Bisping to train his boxing and grappling. Before a few drills on the pads, the two took to the mats, to work on their ground game. However, in all of these exchanges, Bisping was able to master the YouTuber on the ground with ease. At one point, Bisping demonstrated a heel hook technique on the Youtuber, which had him squealing.
At the end of the video, Bisping also caught KSI in a triangle, which the YouTuber was helpless to endure before the veteran fighter let him loose, and playfully slapped his head.

After his boxing exploits, could we see KSI in MMA anytime soon?

Since his debut boxing bout against Joe Weller in 2018, KSI has reached considerable heights in boxing, considering the fact that he didn’t even train in the sport before. After the Joe Weller TKO win, KSI then went on to draw and defeat Logan Paul in two professional bouts, which to this day, remain the biggest attraction to his highlight reel.
Arguably, KSI also birthed Jake Paul’s boxing career, as the American, who is Logan Paul’s brother fought KSI’s brother, Deji on the undercard of their first fight. Deji didn’t shift from public focus either – a few days back, he fought boxing icon, Floyd Mayweather.

With a brief recap out of the way, the question remains – can KSI ever transition to MMA? The answer is that although it is a little unlikely, it can happen, given the right pre-conditions. Jake Paul is KSI’s biggest rival, and the two keep calling each other out for fights. And, Jake Paul has been teasing an MMA entry. So, it could be, under the right conditions, that we see a KSI-Jake Paul fight in the octagon. The likelihood of it, however, is very low.
Dana White, however, is no stranger to KSI – the latter trained at the UFC PI before his fight with Logan Paul, and as a result, will be happy to include him in the roster if he so chooses asks to.
