MMA fans are in for a treat!! The future of fighting is here as Legion Farm presents to the world the first-ever metaverse fight. Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway will take each other on in this historic event.
UFC’s former featherweight champion Max Holloway announced on his social media about this exciting fight with former lightweight champion and UFC legend Khabib. LegionFarm is a gaming platform that allows gamers to play with the PROs and get the best gaming experience. They will be hosting the metaverse fight featurring the UFC superstars.
“Are you ready to make history?! On February 12, @legionfarm, a place where gamers meet and play with PRO players, will be hosting an epic event in Mozilla Hubs Metaverse with the First Metaverse Fight in the history of the Earth between Khabib Nurmagomedov and me! And you are invited to witness it. All you have to do: 1/ Follow the link in the bio 2/ Choose a suitable participation option 3/ Join the live broadcast on the LegionFarm channel on February 12 at 3 PM EST,” wrote Holloway in his Instagram caption.
Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max to be accompanied by Daniel Cormier and Islam Makhachev
“And that’s not all! My friends will also be there, so be ready to meet: -Khabib Nurmagomedov -Daniel Cormier (Second daddest man on the planet) -Islam Makhachev Join the event personally right in the metaverse. You’ll get a chance to participate in a VR boxing match, speak face-to-face and take pictures with me and other special guests, PROs, and members of the LegionFarm community,” revealed Holloway on his Instagram.
Max and Khabib Nurmagomedov were very close to fighting each other in the past before the featherweight champion was pulled out of the fight due to health concerns. Holloway and Khabib were initially scheduled to fight at UFC 223. Finally, the fans will get to see the two fighters take on each other in a bout.
Dana White also in the works to bring the UFC to the metaverse
UFC is never late to catch up with trends and new technology. President Dana White has already made sure his company checks the NFT box but very soon White has revealed that the Ultimate Fighting Championship are working to bring a new experience for to the fight fans involving the metaverse.
In a recent podcast with the NELK Boys, White said that the UFC are in the works for a metaverse fight. “We’re looking to do a fight in the metaverse. We’ve been working on it for a while, be it a live fight, an actual fight that takes place in the metaverse,” said White on the podcast.
White says that people could put on their goggles sitting at home and have an entirely new experience during fight nights.
