Kayla Harrison reveals PFL is open to cross promoting with another promotion to set up super fight
Kayla Harrison
Kayla Harrison discussed her return to the PFL and potential matchups in a recent interview with Jay Harris. The rising fighter resigned with the PFL after becoming a free agent and plans on becoming champion for the third time in a row.
About her decision to resign with the PFL, Harrison said that she received many lucrative offers but ultimately the PFL had the right to match any contract received and they did so which led to Harrison resigning with the PFL.
“The goals I have for myself, the way that I wanna challenge myself is still gonna be accomplished and the PFL supports me on that a 100%.“- Kayla Harrison
Even though Harrison won her second straight PFL lightweight title there have been those who question the level of opponents she’s had up to this point. About this Kayla said that she knew the fans wanted to see her fight the top dogs as much as she wanted to since she wouldn’t be seen as the greatest by the fans and the MMA world if she didn’t.
That being said she can only fight who’s in front of her and the PFL seems determined to put the best in front of Harrison as they assured her that they’d do whatever it took to get her a big fight with a big name. The PFL told her that they were ready to co-promote or cross promote in order to make that fight. Of course, the super fight in every fan mind is Harrison vs Cyborg and since the PFL remains open to cross promotion, let’s hope we get to see these giants clash.
