Vladimir Putin stripped off of his Black Belt by the International Taekwondo Federation after committing war crimes

The ‘supreme leader’ of Russia Vladimir Putin was recently stripped off of his Black belt title by the International Taekwondo Federation after committing War crimes against his neighbors, The ITF showed its solidarity by condemning the war on Ukraine.
“World Taekwondo strongly condemns the brutal attacks on innocent lives in Ukraine, which go against the World Taekwondo vision of ‘Peace is More Precious than Triumph’ and the World Taekwondo values of respect and tolerance,” a statement read. “In this regard, World Taekwondo has decided to withdraw the honorary 9th dan black belt conferred to Mr. Vladimir Putin in November 2013.”
“In solidarity with the International Olympic Committee, no Russian or Belarusian national flags or anthems will be displayed or played at World Taekwondo events,” the statement continued. “World Taekwondo and the European Taekwondo Union will not organize or recognize Taekwondo events in Russia and Belarus. World Taekwondo’s thoughts are with the people of Ukraine and we hope for a peaceful and immediate end to this war.” The ITF showed this solidarity right after the International Olympic Committee decided to ban Russia from the Winter Paralympics until further notice.
Vladimir Putin was also suspended from the Honorary presidential title of the International Judo Federation
Putin was also stripped of his honorary title as president of the International Judo Federation too which preceded the stripping of titles from the Taekwondo title and the ban of his athletes.
The judo organization, which brings together more than 200 national federations, said Friday it had canceled its Grand Slam event in Kazan, Russia, which was set to be held in May. IJF President Marius Vizer said he was “saddened by the current international situation,” although the statement of the cancellation did not directly refer to Russia or Ukraine.
Putin is definitely a keen judoka and holds a black belt. He has co-written a book titled “Judo: History, Theory, Practice” and also starred in an instructional video, titled “Let’s Learn Judo with Vladimir Putin.” Surely these actions of him stripped off of his titles and honors might grab his attention and lead him to stop this war.
