Alessandro Botti damages his ear during fight
MMA is one of the world’s most dangerous sports. Italian mixed martial arts fighter Alessandro Botti got a taste of the extreme damage during his professional martial arts fight. The Italian fighter lost a part of his right ear during a fight at Babylon MMA 29.
Babylon MMA is a polish organization promoting MMA fighting. Yesterday, the promotion gala took place in Radom at the Radomskie Centrum Sportu arena. The event was called Babylon MMA 29. The event was headlined by a championship fight between Piotr Kacprzak and Damian Zorczynkowski for the featherweight belt. In the co-main event, Alessandro Botti took on Lukasz Siwiec.
During this fight, Alessandro was hit with a deadly elbow as Lukasz was mounted on top of the Italian. The polish fighter continued to drain heavy elbow onto the face of Botti which resulted in the Italian fighter getting his ear sliced. The fight was stopped after that as Siwiec won the fight via TKO in round 1. Botti went 16-14 in his professional career following that devastating loss. Both the fighters contested the fight in the 80kg category.

Alessandro Botti releases a statement from the hospital
After his devastating loss to Lukasz and rupturing his ear, Alessandro was admitted to the hospital and he posted an Instagram story to give an update on his ear injury. “Guys I can’t reply to everyone because I am in the hospital. I am fine,” wrote Botti in his Instagram story. “The switch was always right around. The corner and this time I actually lost an ear piece on an elbow!!”
“I know it seems strange to you but from today the good ear will be the left. All jokes away I am okay just really bitter about what happened…I feel like I am handling the situation well. It’s ok guys, sadly karma ain’t on my side. Thanks, everybody for the messages,” wrote “Bad boy” Botti. Alessandro has over ten thousand followers on his Instagram and is very active on his social media.
The fighter was also a former Bellator MMA fighter and has also fought for the promotion, of Cage Warriors. Botti is confident he will be back soon and will continue to work towards his goal.
