Why Mohamed Salah still has ‘a lot to offer’ in the Premier League

32-year-old Mohamed Salah is still easily one of the best players in the English top flight. The Egyptian is currently on 8 goals and 6 assists in 11 Premier League games this season and by the looks of it, has shown no signs of slowing down. His most recent goal for Liverpool came in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa, where the player both scored and assisted.

Even though a big-money deal from the Middle East can be lucrative, Arne Slot‘s arrival and the club’s current form may convince him to sign an extension. Moreover, former Reds defender Glen Johnson passionately urged the forward to stay at Anfield.

He still has a lot to give at the highest level. I believe a move to Saudi is a bit too soon for him. If Liverpool have the chance to keep him for another two years, they should.

Glen Johnson told Betfred

Salah currently earns £350,000 per week and is one of the three top players including Vigil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold whose contracts expire in June 2025.
