Ace speedster Mohammad Amir shocked the entire cricket world after he announced sudden retirement from all forms of the game. The 28-year old also made several allegations on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for “mentally torturing” him. He said that there were several differences and issues of mismanagement with the team as well.

Former Pakistan skipper and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq stated that the incident of Mohammad Amir would have a negative impact on the team. He said that such happenings must be avoided to occur in the future.

“It is not about what impact Amir’s decision will have on our bowling resources or strength because life moves on. But what bothers me more is the negative impact such incidents have on our cricket and its image. “It is better if such situations don’t take place,” Inzamam told the media in Lahore on Thursday.

Inzamam-ul-Haq also feels that Mohammad Amir must have talked to the team management members before taking such a drastic step. He said that he had the option of going to the head coach Misbah-ul-Haq if he had issues with bowling coach Waqar Younis.

“If he is unhappy with one or two persons in the team management he should have first spoken openly with the head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq. And if required, even the Pakistan Cricket Board officials before deciding on what to do.”

“He appears to have issues with Waqar Younis (bowling coach), and if his grievances were not listened to then he should have adopted this route,” he added.
