On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers took a commanding 2-0 World Series lead following a 4-2 victory against the New York Yankees. Following this win, an overjoyed Mookie Betts interrupted the MLB on Fox postgame show and hilariously trolled Derek Jeter.
Jeter, alongside his former teammates Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, and Kevin Burkhardt interviewed Betts’ teammate Freddie Freeman. As the hosts discussed Freeman’s performance in Game 1, Betts showed up and shared a hug with Ortiz.
Betts would later march up to Jeter and claim that while Jeter may not like them (Dodgers) right now, he still loves him and patted him on the back. This brought out laughs from the entire crew, including Jeter as well.

With Jeter spending his entire career with the Yankees and serving as their captain, Betts perhaps thought he would be frustrated by the results of these two games. Following the Game 1 loss, Jeter seemed confused about Aaron Boone‘s decision to remove Gerrit Cole from the game after 88 pitches.
"It's a domino effect on not only this game tonight. Tomorrow's game, and the rest of the series." ?

Mookie Betts comments on going to the Yankee Stadium for Games 3,4 and possible 5
With two victories from two home games, the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in a strong position. They will now travel to New York to take on the Yankees on their turf. During one of the postgame interviews, Mookie Betts spoke about this and the mindset of his teammates.
The Yankee Stadium in the Bronx has always been a tough place for visiting teams in the past. The Dodgers, who now go in there with a 2-0 lead, know that the series is far from done.
“We still have some work to take care of.”

The stats are currently in favor of the Dodgers. Around 84 percent of teams who have won the first two games of the World Series have gone on to win the title. In 1963, the Dodgers swept the Yankees 4-0. 61 years later, history could repeat itself in 2024 if the Yankees cannot bounce back.
