Morgan Wallen’s latest fashion choice might make some of his fans angry because it involves the Chiefs’ controversial placekicker Harrison Butker. The country singer enchanted the Arrowhead while donning the three-time Super Bowl winner’s jersey.
Wallen’s tour continued in Kansas City on Friday night, with some of the Chiefs players joining him during the walkout. Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz posted a clip that showed Wallen wearing a Harrison Butker #7 jersey and greeting quarterback Patrick Mahomes, defensive tackle Chris Jones, and tight end Travis Kelce.
After a few chest bumps and handshakes, the trio walked through the Arrowhead’s corridor toward the stage as cheerful music played in the background. The video went for a short while before it was cut just before they reached close to the stage.

There was a slight change in the jersey though. A different photo taken from behind revealed the key detail. While the jersey had the same number as Butker’s, the name written on the back was Wallen.

Butker made headlines because of his controversial statements regarding women and their roles in society. He divided opinions, but mostly the narrative was against him. The 29-year-old not only angered the general populous but also ended up on the wrong side of the Swifties for using a Taylor Swift song as an example in his statement.
Even both Mahomes and Kelce hinted that they weren’t too happy with Butker’s comments either. However, arguably the NFL’s best kicker refused to take back his words despite the social media backlash that demanded his expulsion from the Chiefs roster. He is still very much part of the team and will continue to be so because they require his skills.
The Chiefs want to make Harrison Butker the highest-paid kicker in the NFL
The Chiefs drafted Butker during the 7th round in 2017. After missing just 7 field goals from 69 attempts in the first two seasons, the Chiefs gave him a new contract worth five years, $20.3 million, including a $3,500,000 signing bonus, $9,100,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,055,000 per Spotrac.
The deal took effect in 2020 and will run until the end of 2024. Butker’s base salary this season is $3.94 million and has a cap hit of $4,823,796 and a dead cap value of $728,796.

The word is the Chiefs are thinking about extending Harrison Butker’s contract, but the details remain unclear. He is currently the 11th-highest-earning kicker in the NFL, a list led by the Ravens Justin Tucker with an average salary of $6 million.
