Chris Gayle is an absolute legend in T20s and his six-hitting ability is one of the reasons behind that. The Universe Boss can thrash bowlers for fun and he showed it once again in IPL 2015. Playing for RCB, Gayle thrashed Punjab Kings bowlers as he hit a 57-ball 117 with the help of 12 sixes.

Another RCB veteran, AB de Villiers was in some red-hot form during IPL 2016. Along with Virat Kohli, de Villiers also used to thrash opposition bowlers for fun and none can forget his 52-ball 129* against the now-defunct Gujarat Lions. De Villiers tonked 12 sixes and 10 boundaries in his inning and created a record for himself.
3. Chris Gayle (13 sixes)
Chris Gayle’s name will continue to pop up and the reason is well-known to all. The Universe Boss loves to hit them big. The Jamaican giant tore apart the Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils) bowling lineup and scored a 62-ball 128*. Gayle struck seven boundaries and thirteen sixes during this inning and got his name registered in the record books.
2. Brendon McCullum (13 sixes)
The former New Zealand captain, Brendon McCullum was also famous for his ability to hit sixes at will. McCullum wreaked havoc in the very first match he played in IPL. The Kiwi batter, playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) scored an unbeaten 158* against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and it was then he also created a record by smashing 13 sixes in his inning. This is the second-most number of sixes in an IPL inning.
