Jack Miller has agreed to sign for KTM on a two year deal at the end of the season. It’s not been the best of seasons for the Australian who has been unable to get going and has been on the podium only once. Jack looked like a frustrated figure after the Catalan GP which saw him finish P14 after qualifying 11th on the grid. Despite Ducati’s superior top speed, it was not the best of outings for him.

The 27 year old described the race as a shithouse. On a circuit where the likes of Fabio Quartararo and Aleix Espargaro were comfortable clocking lap times of 1:40s, Jack Miller could not even register a single lap time of 1.40s. Due to his disappointing start to the season, there were speculations around his camp that he might be taking the jump at the end of this year but the news came a little early.

But, Jack Miller has no regrets from his time at Ducati and said that these were the years which helped him mature him as a rider. But, it’s going to be a fresh start for Miller in the colors of KTM. It was about time that he switched to another team as there is a lot of potential in him to unlock and a fresh challenge and a reunion with his new boss might provide him with the best platform to do so.

Danilo Petrucci is confident of the fact Jack will make a mark in KTM in the next two years. He said, “I’m really happy for Jack. We grew up together in Pramac and then we followed more or less [the same path]: Pramac, Factory [Ducati] and now also KTM. And I hope he will be more lucky than me.

“Being in the factory KTM team for two years is a much, much better opportunity. I’m happy for him. It’s not a secret that I am cheering for Jack in MotoGP.”

“I would like to see him winning, because he’s a really good guy. And I think he will do well,” as reported by crash.

Jack Miller has immense talent in him but needs the right bike and the right personnel for it to be showcased. Let’s hope we get to the best version of him with KTM.
