Valentino Rossi has scored his first points in GT3 after his retirement from MotoGP. The Italian won everything that was there to be won in the sport. But sooner or later, he had to step away from it. Valentino Rossi was a seven time world champion, a feat that many drivers can only think of but can never get anywhere close to it. Rossi was the kind of rider who comes along once in a generation.

The Italian had bags of talent but what stood out was the kind of mentality even after the kind of accolades he had under his belt. The never giving up spirit is something that was an example for any young rider who were coming through the ranks. Now having stepped aside Valentino Rossi has decided to try his hand in GT3. The seven world champion decided to give racing yet another chance in a different machinery.

Valentino Rossi after a tough start to his career in GT3 scored his first points and earned plaudits from his team mates. The Doctor was fortunate enough to avoid the melee in the first turn of the race and went on to secure P13 and P8 in a pair of sprint races. This was something that was needed as he looks to get used to the sport and at the same time score some valuable points for the team.

Valentino Rossi was elated by the result and later on in an interview said, “In Race 1, I was lucky to escape any problem at first corner and then I basically stayed where I was.”

“Race 2 was much better, I am very happy because I sensed a big step forward in my driving and I improved a lot my lap times, especially towards the end of the race, when I was feeling more comfortable with the car and the track. I really enjoyed those final laps!” as reported by crash.

Valentino Rossi was more than relieved after scoring his first points for his team as looks to adapt to the new sport after retiring from MotoGP. Let’s hope he can build from this and have a successful year.
