Valentino Rossi
As a MotoGP fan, the first name that comes to my mind when I think of the sport is of the legend himself, the ‘Doctor’ Valentino Rossi. He has been a connoisseur of the sport for the longest time and has inspired millions across the globe to watch this action packed and thrilling sport.
The beauty of Valentino Rossi is that he has competed with the other veterans of MotoGP and also the modern greats of the sport. But one person who has been consistent is Valentino Rossi. One of the biggest achievements of his life has to be that two eras have been marked by his entry and exit. One is before Rossi and the other one is after Rossi.
His contributions have helped the likes of modern talents like Fransesco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo to succeed. We have all fallen in love with the ever so energetic Italian by the way he rode that Yamaha.
The legacy of the legend, Valentino Rossi, continues to grow
The one thing that stands out about him is his constant hunger to win and never back down from a fight and the duel with Jorge Lorenzo in Catalan GP where he invented something on the last corner to defeat him is something epitomizes the Doctor, #VR46.
The MotoGP community also recognizes his contributions. CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta recently said, “We are fortunate for what Valentino has created and will remain. He was very important to our sport, both for being a champion, very fast, as well as for expanding interests in the world championship.”
‘The same people who started following the races thanks to him will continue to do so in these years.”
“For many years Valentino Rossi was undeniably one of the ‘faces’ of MotoGP, not only for the titles he won but also for his charisma and irreverence on the track, then marking an era that left a milestone in the category that even after his retirement will stay.” As reported by motorcyclesports.
Valentino Rossi has been the crowd favorite for almost the entirety of his career and has also been an idol to so many riders who want to take up the sport but are hesitant to do so. He has left a Valentino Rossi skid mark on the MotoGP community which shall continue to stay this way.
