Marc Marquez

Marc Marquez is one of the crown jewels of MotoGP but has had a horrific run when it comes to crashes and injuries. The six time world champion has had a string of injuries which has even put his career on the line and also threatened to give vision problems which could last his whole life. But, fortunately he has been able to come back to the sport he is so passionate about.

It all started with Jerez when the six time world champion crashed which broke his arm as a consequence. He recovered from that blow pretty quickly but not a lot of time had passed before he injured himself again in training. This did almost cost his career as doctors were unsure as to whether he would be able to continue again or not.

But Marc Marquez shrugged it off like the true champion he is and went on to have a terrific pre season. But that form hasn’t been replicated ever since as he looked uncomfortable in Qatar struggling for raw pace. When he was slowly getting comfortable on the bike he had another crash during the warm-up to the Indonesian Grand Prix last month. The Spaniard initially suffered concussion and later on was diagnosed with diplopia (double vision).

But there is some good news for the Marc Marquez fan base as his brother Alex Marquez affirms that he has been recovering well despite hitting a low. Alex Marquez said, “The first days, it’s normal that he was really down. I think I’ve never seen him down like this.”

“But fortunately the improvement is there so he’s feeling really good. This morning I joked to him, ‘you have one more day to be fit and come!’ Just trying to make him a bit more happy.”

“But he sees some improvement and it’s really good for the head. I hope to see him back really soon because he’s my brother and I want to see him on track but also for the Honda riders it’s good to have him always on track and putting the bike on the limit.” As quoted by crash.

Marc Marquez just needs to string of some encouraging results to help him regain his confidence and help him show what he can do with the bike and in turn fight for the title.
