Marc Marquez has had it tough all throughout the year especially with his injuries. It all started in Jerez when everything was going well for the six time world champion suffered a horrific injury which left his arm heavily injury. He was able to swiftly move on with that and as we thought everything was going well, he suffered a crash in training which gave him double vision problems.

The former world champion was able to fend off that injury and was able to make in time for the pre season and was able to perform really well. But he’s definitely not ready to fight for the title and especially with the likes of the current world champion Fabio Quartararo or Fransesco Bagnaia as he continue to make strides towards full fitness.

He almost gave up on the sport but later decided that he would want to make a comeback to the sport he is so passionate about. There were reports that he might not be ready for the Qatar Grand Prix but he was seen around riding that Honda, but not in his usual comfortable self and definitely not clocking the pace that we are use to seeing the six time world champion clock.

Marc Marquez revealed that he has had difficulty to the new riding style with this changed Honda and will take time to adjust. He said, “A little bit yes, a little bit no. Of course, in race pace I expected something similar, in a single lap it was better than I expected.”

“Still I’m riding in a strange way, but the lap time is coming.”

“Before I was very fast on the entry, now I’m not very fast. But also I don’t feel the front, I feel strange, I don’t feel the front, still I don’t understand where the front is.”

“Honestly, I feel a slower lap time is coming.” As reported by motorsport.

Marc Marquez hasn’t looked his usual self after his injury and has also struggled to clock the pace that we expect of him. But he is adjusting to new dynamics of the Honda and should get better with time and it would be not so wise to write him off for the next season so quickly.
