8-year-old Mathis Bellon passes away after a serious accident during a motorcycle race in Italy

Every often you get reminded of the dangers that loom over this sport and the death of 8 year old rider Mathis Bellon is a painful but clear reminder. The rider got into a serious motorcycle accident on Friday July 22 in Italy. The rider suffered for a week after that in the hospital before he passed away. The accident claimed the young rider’s life when he was practising on the Ala kart track.
The rider apparently fell off his mini bike while he was performing laps on the track but was not able to stand up in time to avoid the rider coming at him. The other rider couldn’t stop in time and hit Mathis. After this Incident, Mathis Bellon was transported to a nearby hospital by air in a hurry although his condition just kept getting worse.

Mathis Bellon’s organs were donated and helped save the lives of five other kids.

The poor kid had to undergo two surgeries whilst the Doctors tried to save his life by administering drugs but were unable as Mathis Bellon sadly couldn’t make it. The rider died a hero because even after losing his life, his organs were donated and helped in order to save the lives of 5 other children which is truly remarkable.
The 8 year old was an extremely talented rider who had a promising future ahead in the motorsports industry. He was also considered as one of the top French athletes of his time and was a standout BMX rider. It is a tragic loss to the motorcycle community as we lose another rider to the shackles of this sport. The entire motorsport industry mourns the death of Mathis Bellon.
