The Dutch GP wasn’t the best of races for Yamaha MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo as he made not just one but multiple mistakes which compromised his own race and that of others. The French rider failed to finish the race and earned the DNF badge next to him which was a sign that he needed to reassess his championship success plan over the Summer break.

Fabio Quartararo’s grave mistake during the Dutch Grand Prix led to his title rival Aleix Espargaro getting even closer to him in the championship standings with a gap of only 21 points separating both of them. Carlo Pernat was of the opinion that the British GP that is being held after the Summer break will be crucial with regards to the ongoing championship fight. If the leader makes even a single mistake, the championship will be thrown wide open.

“I thought he put his head on the right place, instead he made a mistake and reopened the Worlds. The race at Silverstone will be very important, because if he makes a mistake again, the championship will be 100 percent open. We’ll see if he takes the pressure like before,” he said.

With the MotoGP season break coming to an end , the British GP is just round the corner this month. Fabio Quartararo will be serving a long lap penalty in the race due to his mistakes during the Dutch GP which led to the reigning world champion compromising title rival Aleix Espargaro’s race. Fabio will have to show in Silverstone that he is still capable of fighting for the title and has the hunger for it.
