Ducati as a manufacturer has taken initiative in being present in the most diverse competitions. It is without a doubt that Ducati as a company offers their customers and fans a service and experience like no other and it is CEO Claudio Domenicali’s job to ensure the worldwide operations in doing so go smoothly. The Ducati CEO shared a post with his followers on his official LinkedIn account which had key figures regarding Ducati’s recent activities.
Claudio Domenicali began by making it clear that 2021 was a very strong year for the organisation and that 2022 has come with it’s own set of challenges. He mentions that despite the fact that there were difficulties in supplying materials to the relevant outfits, there was a record revenue involved and a substantial demand for Italian motorcycles in the market.
“2021 was a record year for Ducati with the best result ever in terms of deliveries: Claudio Domenicali on Ducati’s achievements
“2021 was a record year for Ducati with the best result ever in terms of deliveries, revenues and operating profit. 2022 is proving to be a more challenging year: despite strong demand from enthusiasts, as evidenced by the order portfolio which at the end of the first half is a plus 86% compared with the same period of 2021, the strong discontinuity in the world of logistics and supply remains,” he said.
“However, we managed to obtain very satisfactory results considering the context in which we are operating, especially in terms of revenue, which grew by 5.4%, going from 514 to 542 million euros. This marks a new record revenue for Ducati in the first six months of the year’, started saying Domenicali before continuing to share too many numbers:
“Operating profit also improved and marks a + 14.8% increase, growing from 59 to 68 million euros (compared with the same period in 2021),“ he continued.
“We were able to deliver a total of 33,265 motorcycles to enthusiast customers, limiting the loss in deliveries in -3.6% compared to the same period in 2021 (34,515). This result was achieved thanks to great flexibility, constant dialogue with partners and the trade union, despite the difficulties related to the supply crisis,” he concluded.
At the end of the post, Claudio Domenicali thanked all of those who had contributed and put in efforts to make this possible at Ducati and also didn’t forget to apologise to the customers who had to wait for a little longer in order to get their bike.
