MotoGP confirmed riders grid for the 2023 season so far

What an eventful first half of the season we’ve had so far. With Yamaha MotoGP Team massively lacking performance after testing, it has come as a bit of a surprise to see the Japanese factory team lead the Rider’s world standings with Fabio Quartararo meanwhile Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro is having his best MotoGP campaign yet and is currently 2nd in the standings with a 21 point gap to Fabio.

With the first half coming to an end, there is always talk about who will be riding with which team next year. With some riders already having a contract, let us take a look into the MotoGP teams and their confirmed riders for next year.

Aprilia Racing :

The Aprilia MotoGP rider lineup remains the same for 2023 consisting of Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales with boat drivers signing a new contract to remain with the team for 2 more years till 2024

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP :

Franco Moridelli and current World championship leader Fabio Quartararo will be racing for the Yamaha Factory team in 2023. 

Ducati Lenovo Team :

Alongside current Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia, the second seat for Ducati remains unconfirmed to this point. There are speculations that Enea Bastianini is the candidate who will be chosen to ride with the factory team next year.

Redbull Ktm Factory Racing :

Current KTM rider Brad Binder will continue with the team for another year while being joined by Jack Miller on the 2023 MotoGP grid as he shifts from Ducati to KTM.

Gresini Racing MotoGP

Having confirmed their lineup for 2023, Gresini Racing will have Fabio Di Giantonio and Alex Marquez racing for the team next year.

LCR Team Honda

With Suzuki exiting MotoGP at the end of 2022, Alex Rins has joined LCR Honda for 2023. His teammate has not been confirmed yet.

Repsol Honda MotoGP :

After being forced to sit out of the 2022 MotoGP season due to 4th operation on his right arm, Marc Marquez is Honda’s confirmed rider for 2023 on a provisional basis as it all depends on how his recovery process takes place. His teammate has not been confirmed as of yet.

Prima Pramac Racing, Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Tech3 KTM Factory Racing, WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP :

Motogp

These are the four remaining teams on the 2023 MotoGP grid who are yet to confirm who will ride for the respective teams in the premier class of MotoGP next year.
