With some terrible luck by his side, Ducati Factory rider Francesco Bagnaia has still managed to keep himself in contention for the title but barely. He is currently 4th in the championship standings with 106 points to his name. Enea Bastianini is proving to be a real threat to Pecco’s championship hopes as the Gresini Racing Rider is just a point behind Bagnaia in the championship standings and is aiming to grab the second seat at the factory team for next year.

Francesco Bagnaia has earned 3 victories so far in the 2022 MotoGP season. He recalls how impactful each and every victory has been to him and his team this season and also fixates on what his goals are for this season.

“The three victories have all been beautiful for various reasons. Jerez was a liberation.”

After the difficult start of the season andthen Fabio was always the fastest”, the Italian said during the World Ducati Week.

“Mugello is my home race and I have never been able to do anything good apart from a podium in Moto3 in 2016. Assen is the only circuit where I have won in Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP, so it was very nice” he continued.

“The first objective is to find continuity and consistency in terms of results. We are quite calm about being fast and I started working on trying to be calm in certain situations.”

Francesco Bagnaia will come to Silverstone fully charged up after the summer break with the goal of cutting down the gap between him and the championship leader (Fabio Quartararo). The latter will be receiving a long lap penalty for his collision with Espargaro in assen.
