Motorsports have always been a dangerous spectacle where several racers have lost their lives. While the dust regarding Dilano Van’t Hoff’s recent demise was just beginning to settle, the motorsports community has lost yet another shining light. Japanese Superbike racer Haruki Noguchi(22) has unfortunately passed away following his last weekend’s horrific crash.
Haruki Noguchi participated in the Mandilika round of the Asia Road Racing Championship when calamity struck on lap 4. While going into Turn 10, he was involved in a huge crash which led to the race being stopped and ultimately canceled. After receiving treatment at a nearby medical center, he was transferred to Nusa Tenggara Barat Hospital.
However, despite fighting hard for his life for a couple of days, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and died on Wednesday evening. He was just 22 years old and was beginning to climb the ladder in the racing world. Just ten days before his crash, he was on the podium in the Suzuka 8 hours alongside SDG Honda teammates Teppei Nagoe and Naomichi Uramoto.
While the trio was initially placed in the third position, they were later promoted to second place in the standings when the Toho Racing squad was disqualified. Haruki Noguchi was a special talent and was regarded as someone who could succeed in the bike racing.

While the racing world is in absolute shock following the death of Haruki Noguchi, the HARC pro team director, Kotaro Honda has told Motorsport, “I still can’t believe we have to make this announcement. Only 10 days ago, we experienced the honor of standing together on the podium of the Suzuka 8 Hours, and we had just sent him off to Indonesia willing him on to win this year’s Asia Road Racing title.”
“Just 22 years old and with limitless potential, I had high hopes that he would step up to the world stage as Asia’s next-generation hope. It’s regrettable that he passed away so soon while he was in the middle of this journey.” Looking at the comments of Honda, it is quite clear that he and his whole team is extremely saddened by Noguchi’s death.
Moreover, he has also made the world aware of the kind of exceptional talent that Haruki Noguchi was. He was seen by Honda and Co. as a racer who could have taken the bike racing world by storm with his brilliant skills behind two-wheelers, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t to be for the Japanese star.
