After his crash in Jerez 2020, Marc Marquez had failed to complete a full season in MotoGP due to multiple complications arising in his right arm which led to multiple operations. The Repsol Honda rider announced after the qualifying session during the Italian Grand Prix that he will be stepping back from the 2022 MotoGP season due to a fourth operation being carried out on his right arm. The Honda rider’s clearance to start physio marks a positive start to his ongoing efforts to come back to race in the premier class of MotoGP.

“In this second check-up, the doctors have confirmed that the humerus is consolidating correctly, with this we can start physiotherapy on the right arm and cardio training.

“I am very excited to be able to recover mobility in my arm to continue advancing the recovery process and I want to thank the entire medical team for their treatment and attention.” Marc Marquez said in a  statement released by Repsol Honda.

Marc Marquez underwent surgery at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Minnesota in the month of June where his  right humerus bone was rebroken again and then rotated, correcting a 30-degree misalignment caused due to his first operation which happened in 2020. The misalignment affected the Spaniard in the worst ways and made his professional career very difficult during the past 2 years. With his next stage or recovery beginning, we hope to see the 6 time MotoGP champion back on track as soon as possible.
