Marc Marquez claims it will be difficult to understand the racing line at the banked corner

One of Marquez’s key pieces of advice for conquering the Buddh International Circuit is to grasp the track layout and understand the varying grip levels. With its 5.125-kilometer length, BIC poses a unique set of challenges, making it essential for riders to discover their preferred racing line and adapt to the track’s nuances.

Fellow driver Pol Espargaro claimed it is a fun track with a challenging banked corner. Sharing his view on the layout, Marquez said, “Yeah, so I don’t know the exact number of corners, but there is one right-hander where there is a lot of banking. It will be difficult to understand the racing line and how to perform well in that corner.”

He added, “But apart from that, the rest looks interesting, with a really long back straight. We need to see; we need to ride the bike before we can understand if it’s a fun circuit or not.” Marquez underscores the importance of constant communication with the team to fine-tune the electronic setup of the bike. Sharing insights about the motorcycle’s performance ensures it is perfectly tuned for race day, highlighting the collaborative effort between rider and team.

Despite facing adversity in the 2023 season, Marquez’s extensive experience and the unique challenges of the Buddh International Circuit leave room for optimism. As the MotoGP Bharat event draws nearer, all eyes will be on Marc Marquez as he takes on this exciting new challenge.
