Injuries are constant and recurring in this sport and such is the case with Marc Marquez who is going through a complex procedure in order to aid the recovery of his arm having come out of surgery. The fourth one up till now that he had tackled which was successful thankfully. During this tough phase in his career, the six-time MotoGP champion has the support of many individuals as social media lights up with wholesome messages along with people wishing him all the best in this recovery process but there is a group of individuals that Marc Marquez puts on the top of his list.
After undergoing a successful fourth surgery, the Spanish driver is targeting a return to the premier class of motorsports on two wheels in 2023.
“Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez has completed surgery on his right humerus at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The medical team have deemed the operation a success as Marquez’s recovery begins” says MotoGP in a statement that was issued.
“ I have to say that I am not alone on this road to recovery” says the Repsol Honda rider
Marc Marquez revealed the three names with whom he has been in contact with the most and the ones who have given him the most advice during this ongoing stage
“I have been supported by riders like Àlex Crivillé –who went through something similar–, Alberto Puig –who is the person with whom I have the most contact, because he is also the Team Manager of the Repsol Honda Team– and also with Mick Doohan – because he had several serious injuries. They are the people who have advised me the most and I thank them for their support” says Marquez
