From when he joined the premier class of MotoGP back in 2013 till 2019, Marc Marquez had won the MotoGP world championship in every season except for 2015. This was a very impressive feat which put him along the lines of the all time greats such as Valentino Rossi. This all changed after his 2019 title winning year as he injured his right arm in Jerez 2020 after which there were a ton of incidents which forced him to not compete. Marc Marquez has failed to compete in a full season in MotoGP after 2019 due to the massive complications arising due to his injuries which forced him to sit out.

The Spaniard underwent his fourth surgery on the humerus of his right arm which was successful and has initiated the recovery phase for the #93 rider. Marc Marquez’s Manager  Emilio Alzamora has some updates on his condition which he shared.

“Marc is resting after the last operation, for which the doctors are very satisfied. The goal of correcting the excessive rotation of the humerus has been achieved. This operation will prove to be fundamental for the continuation of his career. He is doing everything possible to get back to driving 100% and reach the goal of fighting for the world championship again. This was impossible this year because of his problem. When will he come back? He will decide together with the doctors, and he will not as soon as he is sure he can get back on his Honda “ he said.

It is now time for Marquez to resume training at a slow and procedural rate which is prescribed by the doctors which he would have to visit on a frequent basis. He hopes that he can get back to riding in MotoGP by the end of the season and work with Honda in testing sessions for the 2023 challenger.
