It has been a tough period for 8 time world champion Marc Marquez as he goes through the recovery process and aims for a comeback to MotoGP, a sport that has been very tough on him in the past few years. had to forcibly sit out of the 2022 season due to a fourth operation being done on his right arm. The Spaniard had an accident during the Jerez round back in 2020 and broke his arm. It has been a series of operations and recovery phases since.
Over the past few months, Marquez has been active on socials and letting everyone know about his ongoing progress. A few weeks back, the rider was declared fit enough to remove the stilt on his arm and start physiotherapy.
This was great news for everyone and what is even better is that the progress has skyrocketed since then. Recently Marc was in the condition to ride and made the best of this opportunity as he hadn’t ridden for a very long time. The Repsol Honda rider did two tests where he rode a Honda CBR600RR on the MotorLand Aragon circuit between 31st August and 2nd September.
The results of these tests were more than satisfactory for the Repsol Honda rider as he eyed a MotoGP return for 2023. It had been announced that Joan Mir will be joining the Repsol Honda squad to be Marc’s teammate next year. During the test in Aragon, the Spaniard gained valuable information on his right humerus and his full arm in general which further solidified his intentions to take part in the Official MotoGP tests.
