The current Repsol Honda rider has been taking over the headlines following the announcement of his departure from the Japanese factory. It’s hard to say that the news came as a shock following the Ducati domination. Nevertheless, Marc Marquez’s transfer has gone down as one of the most important ones in the sport’s history. Marquez’s fellow MotoGP riders have now commented upon the Spaniard’s move.
Cal Crutchlow, currently the test rider at Yamaha, commented that a Ducati under Marquez’s control risked a complete ‘walkover’ (domination) in the sport [as reported by race.com]. Yamaha’s main man – Fabio Quartararo, added his thoughts, saying, “He’s going to make our life really difficult. For everyone. “Marc is the reference of the last ten years, and he will be on a really competitive bike.” It’s safe to assume that every rider is cautious about the move and seems to think that Marquez will be a formidable opponent next season.
Our favorite reaction came from Maverick Vinales as he hilariously exclaimed, “I see one more Ducati strong. One more!” The Aprilia rider pointed out how quick the Ducati riders have been and gave another priceless comment, saying, “I see every rider that goes there, super fast. Pfff. S**t.” Marquez’s move and Maverick Vinales are tied closer than they appear; more are below.

Maverick Vinales – Honda’s target next season as Aprilia Boss makes a hilarious comment on the move
Honda is looking into poaching the Spanish rider while Vinales is still under contract at Aprilia. Marquez’s premature termination of his contract with Honda has left an empty seat at the garage. Many reports claim that Honda intends to fill this seat with Maverick Vinales in 2024.
Sky Italia recently named the current Aprilia rider as Honda’s “greatest interest” to step into their rider line-up. Many have doubted if the move could be possible given Vinales’ current contract. Aprilia MotoGP boss Massimo Rivola was asked about Honda’s plans and replied with a hilarious comment pointing to how Honda undermines the importance of a contract. Rivola mentioned how Honda views contracts as toilet paper to wipe bottoms rather than “serious stuff.”
“The bad message that is coming out is that contracts are useless, and paper to clean the ass,” said the Aprilia Boss before pointing out how their riders won’t be able to depart under current contractual obligations. It will be interesting to see who lines up at the Repsol factory next season.
