“What a save!” : MotoGP Twitter Reacts to Francesco Bagnaia’s magnificent defense against Fabio Quartararo’s repeated attacks to win Jerez GP
After a hair-raising race in the Circuito de Jerez, we finally have the results of the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix that saw quite some surprising performances from our favourite riders. Pole-sitter Francesco Bagnaia put up a stone-hard defence against the continuous attacks by reigning World Champion Fabio Quartararo who was desperate for a second race win in a row after coming first in last week’s Portimao Grand Prix.
Aleix Espargaro put a smile on the faces of all his fans who rooted for him to get another podium finish in two back-to-back races. The Aprillia rider impressed everyone, and he was followed by former World Champion Marc Marquez. Marquez showed everyone he is not done winning races in MotoGP after he scored the P4 finish in Jerez. The rider only returned to racing a few weeks ago in Austin, after recovering from his eye injury.
But luck did not side with Jack Miller today as the Ducati racer was driving in the podium places for the most part of the race, only to fall back to P5 during the final few laps.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Jerez MotoGP results
All the fans of MotoGP were happy to find Francesco Bagnaia bag his first race win of this new 2022 season, after putting up a great fight against reigning World Champion and current Championship leader Fabio Quartararo.

For Marc Marquez, this was his best result in any MotoGP race after coming back from his hiatus due to his diplopia. The rider showed us his form is not over, and his fans know that he is hungry for yet another World Championship title for himself!
Another spectacular save by Marc Marquez to add to his highlight reel, but this time in a left hander. A sign that Marc is back is when he starts saving these again, back where all his issues started in the 2020 #SpanishGP. #MotoGP https://t.co/eflfDXXsPl

Lastly, one of the MotoGP fans summed up his entire experience in the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix in Jerez in a few words–
What a race, Pecco was flawless, Marquez proved that he’s still got it and four different manufacturers in the top four places. #MotoGP #SpanishGP
