‘What Aleix did is incredible, there are no words” : Alex Marquez after being left speechless on Aleix Espargaro’s comeback at the Dutch GP
Aleix Espargaro
The Dutch MotoGP round in Assen was one to watch with a series of incidents taking place which in turn changed the whole course of the race. There were some incidents that struck out just like Fabio Quatararo’s hopes of winning the race after he crashed twice and had to retire. The first crash was unfortunate for the Yamaha rider and the Aprilia rider although when Espargaro came in contact with Fabio, he managed to go wide by taking avoiding action and continued with the race which had already been ruined after Quartararo’s failed efforts to make a pass on the Aprilia rider.
Aleix Espargaro further went on to make a stellar recovery and went from P15 to P4 in a jaw dropping performance of a lifetime. The last lap especially was the one that amused many as the Aprilia rider overtook two competitors on the last corner during the last lap of the DutchGP in order to finish P4.

“It is clear that Aleix has done something incredible: Alex Marquez
Alex further continued “I have no words for the huge race he made the other day. He was a fighter and a hard worker… we can never forget what he has done. He was persistent and ended up ‘exploding’, even more so in a project like Aprilia, where they knew how to be patient. I think they have everything going for them.”
Aprilia is slowly becoming the one to watch as they have gotten stronger as the season has progressed with their competitiveness being shown crystal clear after last weekend’s DutchGP where both the riders finished P3 and P4 respectively.
