“The way to ride the bike is different,” Marc Marquez looks like a ‘fish out of water’ riding the upgraded RC213V Honda

Marc Marquez

Marc Marquez hasn’t looked uncomfortable on the new 2022 Honda after the magnitude of changes made to the RC213V this season. The bike definitely looks different to the one in 2021 and when we add Marc Marquez’s injury issues to the fore, the task becomes doubly difficult. Marc Marquez faced a severe crash in training which led to giving him double vision problems.

The Spaniard has had it hard with injuries. It all started with Jerez when the six time world champion crashed which broke his arm as a consequence. He recovered from that blow pretty quickly but not a lot of time had passed before he injured himself again in training. This did almost cost his career as doctors were unsure as to whether he would be able to continue again or not.

But Marc Marquez shrugged it off like the true champion he is and went on to have a terrific pre season. But that form hasn’t been replicated ever since as he looked uncomfortable in Qatar struggling for raw pace. A lot of it comes down to him not able to adjust to the new Honda which has made him feel like he’s riding for a new manufacturer. This isn’t good news for Honda.

While Marc Marquez’s teammate, Pol Espargaro fitted right it, the six time world champion has problems with the new Honda. He revealed that when he said, “So different from previous years, it’s almost like I changed manufacturer.”

“It is completely different, but without a doubt, we will work to adapt. It’s a new challenge.”

We are discovering different things with this new bike, and since I started at the first test we improved, especially at Mandalika.” As reported by crash.net.

Marc Marquez’s problems have been coming thick and fast. It’s just not technical, it’s also physical as he continue to work towards full fitness. After Qatar, the next Grand Prix is Mandalika. We shall wait for a response on the track from the former world champion.
