MS Dhoni’s parents test negative for COVID-19 after treatment at a Ranchi hospital
MS Dhoni's parents
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni‘s mother Devaki Devi and father Pan Singh have tested negative for COVID-19 following their earlier positive test and subsequent treatment at a private hospital in Ranchi. The news had come in a week ago when it was confirmed by Pulse Super Speciality Hospital that the former Indian cricket captain’s parents were admitted due to a positive test for the COVID-19 virus.
Dhoni is currently taking part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for his side CSK. He is currently in Delhi and his side have won four out of their first five matches. Although Dhoni himself hasn’t been in the best of form, his side has been able to come good and deliver results. They face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today and would want to notch up a fifth consecutive win in the tournament to go top of the table.
MS Dhoni’s parents recover from COVID-19
According to reports from ABP News, Dhoni’s parents Devaki Devi and Pan Singh have been discharged from the Pulse Super Speciality Hospital after recovering and testing negative for the virus. While the hospital has not yet given out an official confirmation of the same, reports have stated that the couple has returned home already.
It is noteworthy that while Dhoni did not speak about his parents testing positive for the virus, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming spoke and ensured that things will be back to normal and that they would be discharged from the hospital soon. “From the management point of view, we’re well aware of his family situation and the support has been set up for MS and his family. The situation is under control for now,” he had said. Much like what Fleming said, the heartening news of Dhoni’s parents’ recovery has come in.
