IPL 2021: WATCH – MS Dhoni lights up nets session by smashing bowlers for huge sixes

With the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) looming, a plethora of teams have started organizing training camps to get their players in shape and ready for the tournament. In that vein, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise have also put up a training camp for the players in Chennai. Along with a host of other Indian players and new recruits, captain MS Dhoni has also joined the camp already. The other players are expected to arrive soon.

Although Dhoni has been away from the game for a while, having not played since the previous edition of the IPL, the former Indian captain took to the nets sessions like a duck to water and smashed balls all over the park. A video of the same was shared on social media by the official handle of CSK and fans have expressed excitement at seeing Dhoni back.

CSK shared a video in which Dhoni can be seen taking the bowlers to the cleaners. They captioned the video saying, “Mahi way all the way!!!“

CSK finished sixth in IPL 2020 after winning six out of their 14 games when the tournament was held in the UAE last year. This time around, they will start their campaign on April 10 against Delhi Capitals in Mumbai.

The 2021 edition of the IPL begins with a match between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on April 9. Despite the league returning to India this season, CSK, or any other team, would not have the privilege of playing at home as all matches have been scheduled at neutral venues for the teams.
