WWE will enter a new era with its move to Netflix on January 6, 2025. Raw has already undergone multiple changes in preparation for this transition. It was revealed that starting October 7, Raw will transition to a two-hour format until its final episode on USA Network on December 30. The changes that Raw will undergo once the Netflix deal is activated have now been revealed.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Raw on Netflix will have a flexible runtime each week to shake things up and reduce predictability. WWE won’t need to go off-air just because another show is starting. The show could run for three hours if they want to tell a longer story. Similarly, they could choose to run it for two hours if they wish.

An important reason behind this change was to make the timing of main event matches as unpredictable as possible. This was a significant change, especially since fans have often seen the show abruptly end due to time constraints. One of the key reasons Netflix chose to pick up Raw was to add commercials.

The WWE audience is used to the commercials on regular television. However, the only difference here would be they would be able to decide how long the breaks are, just so that they don’t have to compromise the show.

Speaking about the next episode of Raw, chaos is ensured when CM Punk addresses the WWE Universe after suffering a brutal beatdown from Drew McIntyre. Moreover, the Judgment Day will defend their tag titles against the New Day.
